The Balloon Room is an interactive installation comprised of a sheer fabric covered structure, filled with approximately 1000 clear latex balloons. Participants are invited to enter the space, become submerged, and move through the balloons. Participants are encouraged to ‘leave a breath,’ to blow up one of these balloons and add it into the room.

Sly Maria is a bisexual artist, photographer and burlesque performer based in Toronto. Whether working in two-dimensional, performance or interactive mediums, she strives to create impressive and immersive images and experiences that explore aspects of the self, sexuality, femininity, interpersonal relationships, and impermanence.
